The best pub, in Scotland!! A must-stop! The staff, treat you, like family! Such a warm, and typical, Scottish welcome! Rooms are pristine, if you need anything, the staff, go out of their way to help! A 10/10 Extremely professional, and well-run family business! Have been, many times, whilst on holiday! Great, walking spots ( Alva Glen). Brilliant town, with the most welcoming people!

Really nice B&B Very Welcome FANTASTIC staff & 2 brothers Frank & Jim who owns the pub & sister Katrina are amazing very helpful in every way can't do enough for you always on hand to help you Breakfast is really nice u get a lot for your money bedrooms are really nice and spaces beds are comfortable and clean and u get tea/coffee in room with kettle a massive T.v always clean Towels when u ask for them u can't hear nothing from bar side so that's great regarding bar really nice clean place everyone makes you welcome especially bar staff they R very helpful great music from music box Free pool table so u can play as much as u want there r some great selections of beers and other stuff it's a really nice warm WELCOME PUB to everyone who comes though there door it's in a nice place to visit SURROUNDING PLACE I.E close to ALLOA/STIRLING AND OTHER VILLAGES we will be returning very soon 5*****+ P.S THANKS FOR A GREAT STAY X
Room tidy, clean and comfortable although needs modernising. Lovely stay over night, delicious full cooked breakfast and cereals offered. Staff could not have been more welcoming.
Wonderful place very quiet and relaxed atmosphere . Great place to have a party very nice function suite , or just stay for a weekend . Staff are very friendly , its right in the heart of braveheart country . Alva is a very nice place . And this hotel is a gem waiting to be discovered . Within easy reach of Sturling city centre.
A really warm welcome. Both at the bar and at breakfast. The rooms were well made up and the bedding felt as fresh as you could get. Bathroom/shower were spotless. Comments about it being dated means that you are probably only used to modern hotels. This place is real. It is interesting. It has character. The full breakfast hit the spot too. Due to the unusually high tempratures I could have done with an opening window. I may have been up for a funeral but the stay was great.
Live entertainment in a pub what more can you ask for, rooms for the night and a Scottish breakfast, ok then they have that too, spent many a good night in here, good crowd of customers and great staff that are very helpful, always a good atmosphere when football or most sport is on, highly recommended
